General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has called on the people of Australia, and other citizens of the world to seek God and trust in him, as their only hope.
He told them everything they needed to survive, such as salvation and security among others, are in God. Kumuyi made the call as the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) entered the fourth day in Australia.
Speaking on the theme, “Trusting God, the Hope of the Nation,” Kumuyi assured the congregation that seeking God and doing his will, would make their lives better and well equipped to live the life they would like to live on earth.
According to the convener, who took his text from Isaiah 55: 6, 7 to buttress his point, God is near to everyone that calls on the Lord, and forsakes their evil ways and turns unto the Lord for salvation.
Assuring them that God would show them mercy for repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, Kumuyi said: “He will forgive your sins as you turn to Christ, turn to the word of God and you don’t return to the old path. Follow Christ the light of the world. After turning to Christ, there is no turning back, but decide to live like Christ and love like Christ and promise God you will spend eternity with him in heaven.”
He said: “Until you confess your problems to God, the problems are not over. One thing that God is waiting for is that you turn away from evil and wickedness and embrace Christ as your Saviour. The city of Nineveh repented when they heard the message of God from his servant. The hope of any man, woman or community is turning from the violence that is in their hand. God saw that they repented from their evil ways and God also repented from destroying them.
“Therefore, in our nation here, let the young people turn, let the men and women turn, let the professionals turn, when everyone turns and recognises his or her sinful nature and repents, that is the secret of forgiveness, salvation, and new life in Christ.” He urged them not to conform their lives to the world rolling down to the drain, but to ensure that they renew their minds with God’s word on daily basis.
