Ontario -based Nigerian artiste, Shaykeh unveils trance it


Ontario-based Nigerian artiste, Shaykeh, has unveiled Trance It, an EP that seamlessly blends ethereal rhythms, introspective storytelling, and captivating melodies, marking a pivotal moment in her artistic evolution.

The project’s five tracks explore themes of self-discovery, joy, love, and transcendence, inviting listeners into a multidimensional experience. Butterflies opens the project with a sweet yet introspective tone, balancing lighthearted charm with reflective lyrics.

The playful and soulful Pami, which Shaykeh produced, pairs Eniggy’s smooth vocals with an enchanting live saxophone performance by Femi Sax, creating a song that inspires joy and movement.

Little Fires with its Afro-inspired rhythms, heartfelt lyricism, and infectious energy, serves as a tender proclamation of love. The self-produced Attire channels gratitude and faith,weaving soulful melodies with thoughtful lyricism.

The EP concludes with Trabaye, a euphoric anthem inspired by Nigerian slang, inviting listeners to embrace freedom and soar to new heights. Shaykeh’s hands-on approach is evident throughout Trance It. From mixing and sound engineering to producing Pami and Attire, she shaped every detail to align with her vision.

Grammy Award-winning engineer, Spyritmyx, added the final polish, elevating the EP into a sonic masterpiece. Trance It captures the feeling of being in a trance; a space between playfulness and intentionality, where rhythm and emotion meet.

It’s an invitation to dance, reflect, and connect deeply with its many layers, showcasing Shaykeh’s unique ability to create music that’s
