Former Kogi deputy governor Adaba is dead

Kogi Head of Service (HOS), Dr Elijah Evinemi, has expressed deep sadness over the death of a former Deputy Gov. of the state, Mr Patrick Adaba.

This is contained in a statement signed by Evinemi on Tuesday in Lokoja.

Evinemi described the deceased as a distinguished statesman and an icon whose contributions to National and State development left an indelible mark.

He said the legacy of the former deputy governor sets him apart as a role model for present and future generations.

The HOS said his unwavering commitment to good governance, leadership and community development would continue to inspire excellence and selfless service.

While commiserating with his family, associates, and the entire Kogi State, the Evinemi prayed for divine comfort for those he left behind and the repose of his soul.

Adaba’s died on Sunday at the age of 78.

He was the younger brother to Dr Tom Adaba who died on Feb. 22, at the age of 84.

The late Adaba, was the Deputy Gov. of Kogi State from 1999 to 2003 under late former governor, Prince Abubakar Audu.
