Activities marking the 2025 Ikeja Golf Captain Day ended at the weekend with Gbenga Obifarinde emerging as the overall winner. He scored 91-26=65 to grab the top prize.

Jimoh Ogundare, with 77-08= 69 won the Best Net, just as Rasaki Muritala (79 Gross) got the Best Gross prize on the last day of activities on Saturday.

Before then, golfers had battled for the HCP 19-2 category with Deji Johnson (97-28-69) winning the Best Net award on Friday, while Bukola Durojaiye (96 Gross) settled for the Best Gross prize. Oladele Idowu was the overall winner in the caddies category with 74 Gross.

In the Ladies category, Diana Osmond was the Best Gross winner (77 Gross), while
Ilo Oyinlola got the Best Net (93-31- 62 Gross). The event marked the end of Babatunde Ojo as captain of Ikeja Golf Club.

Excited by the outcome of the event, Ojo thanked members and the club’s management committee for cooperating with him in the past 12 months. He said: “I am incredibly proud of this team and the tireless work they have put in, especially during last night, to make this event what it is tonight.”
