Oyo CP decorates newly promoted DCP, three ACP

The Commissioner of Police (CP) in Oyo State, Johnson Adenola on Tuesday decorated newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and three Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the command.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the newly decorated officers are DCP Suny Dangana, ACP Idris M.Idris, ACP Ibrahim Ishaq and ACP Olusola Aremu, who is the Commander of the Monitoring Unit of the Command.

Addressing the officers, Adenola said that promotion in the Nigeria Police and other services demands a lot of hard work, dedication and focus.

The CP said that the promoted officers had worked hard, were dedicated and focused for them to have been recognised for their efforts in the force.

“You should see this promotion as a motivation to do more; the reward for hard work is more work.

“This is a higher cadre that demands a lot from every one of you. It is not that you have arrived, you have not yet arrived because there are still a lot of bridges for you to cross.” he said.

Adenola advised them to see their new ranks as a challenge to do more for the force that had placed so much trust in them, adding that they must be more committed and loyal to the force.

He said that the newly promoted officers had impressed him in the shortest time he had worked with them in the command.

The police boss urged their families to continue to give them the necessary support to enable them deliver in their new ranks.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, DCP Suny Dangana, appreciated the Inspector General of Police and his management team for finding them worthy of the promotion.

Dangana promised not to let the force down but to key into the agenda and mission of the commissioner of police in the state.
