Since assumption of office, Diri has not only stated his commitment to the holistic development of Bayelsa but also the teeming young population.

Diri has committed massive investment in infrastructure, opening up communities that were hitherto inaccessible to the state capital and other parts of Nigeria.

His innovative basic education transformation programme, BayelsaPRIME, has also ensured the democratisation of quality basic education to over 40,000 primary school children who would hitherto not have had access to quality education.

The governor, now serving his second term, continues to champion inclusive policies that promote sustainable development and empower communities. His commitment to transparency and accountability has earned him widespread acclaim, positioning Bayelsa as a model for good governance.

Also honoured at the event were Plateau State’s Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, and Osun State’s Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who have also provided outstanding governance and people-centered leadership.
