Says his appointment would rejuvenate sports

The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, his royal majesty, Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has congratulated former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on his appointment as the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Sports by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement by his Country- Director on Media Strategy and Communications, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, Ezeigbo Ghana said: “On behalf of members of my Council -of – Chiefs, and the entire Igbo community in Ghana, I rejoice with Philip Shaibu on his appointment as Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Sports.

“As you settle down for this great task, I pray God Almighty to grant you the wisdom, strength, insight, and divine direction to implement the programmes and policies of your new office in line with Renewed Hope Agenda of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led- administration.

“I also believe that with your youthful vigour, you would help rejuvenate and revamp the sports sector to the glory of God and the delight of Nigerians.”
