President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday commissioned a series of legacy infrastructure projects in Nasarawa State, including the state’s first flyover and underpass in the capital city of Lafia.
The President arrived at the Usman Dan Fodio Airport, Lafia, at about 1:55 p.m. and was warmly received by Governor Abdullahi Sule, alongside several governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), who came in solidarity.
During the commissioning ceremony, Tinubu lauded Governor Sule for his prudent management of state resources and for transforming the aesthetics of Lafia through impactful infrastructural development.
In recognition of the President’s support and inspiration, Governor Sule announced that the newly completed flyover and underpass would be named after President Tinubu. The one-kilometre dual facility is now officially known as the Bola Tinubu Exchange Road.
The governor explained that the project aligns with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which promotes responsible governance and fiscal discipline. Notably, the project was completed without recourse to external borrowing.
President Tinubu also commissioned other legacy projects, including the ultra-modern State Secretariat Complex.
In his remarks, the President praised Governor Sule for initiating and completing projects that directly enhance the lives of the people. He expressed appreciation for the warm reception and called on Nasarawa residents to continue supporting the administration’s vision of economic recovery and national development.
Governor Sule, visibly elated, thanked the President for visiting and personally commissioning the projects.
He credited the state’s recent infrastructural achievements to Tinubu’s leadership and policy direction at the federal level.
