ICAN online tutors unveil AI learning platform for aspiring accountants

In a major step toward redefining professional accounting education in Nigeria, ICAN Online Tutors has launched a cutting-edge digital platform aimed at simplifying and enhancing exam preparation for aspiring ICAN and ACCA candidates nationwide.

The new solution, which fuses live virtual instruction with artificial intelligence-driven learning tools, was officially introduced by the EdTech company as part of efforts to bridge educational gaps and make professional certification more accessible to thousands of Nigerian students.

Speaking at the launch, Founder and CEO of ICAN Online Tutors, Rilwan Teslim-Layeni, noted that the platform goes beyond traditional online learning.

“We’ve moved beyond simply putting classes online,” he said. “Our platform uses smart technology to personalize learning, identify knowledge gaps, and adapt to each student’s pace and schedule.”

The platform boasts features such as real-time interactive sessions with seasoned tutors, a vast digital library of study resources, and a smart AI dashboard to monitor student performance. Notably, the mobile app version supports offline access—addressing the common issue of poor internet service in many parts of Nigeria.

Already in use by over 10,000 learners, the innovation has drawn praise from education stakeholders. A senior lecturer at the University of Lagos, Dr. Folake Adebayo, hailed the initiative as “the future of accounting education in Africa.”

She added, “By combining quality instruction with cutting-edge technology, they’re making world-class preparation available to students regardless of location.”

With Nigeria’s job market placing increasing value on professional qualifications, especially in finance and business, Teslim-Layeni disclosed that the platform will soon expand to include skills-based certifications and corporate training modules.

To ensure inclusiveness, ICAN Online Tutors is offering affordable subscription plans, scholarship opportunities, and a free trial for new users. The platform is accessible through its website and mobile application for both accounting and non-accounting graduates.
