The TV show hosted by celebrated actor Gideon Okeke, brings together Nollywood’s most recognisable stars, producers and creatives for deeply honest and revealing conversations that explore the film industry’s triumphs and tensions. From red-carpet glamour to behind-the-scenes grit, nothing is off the table.
Produced by Chris Odeh and executive produced by Joy Odiete, the debut episode features none other than Nigerian screen icon Ramsey Nouah, alongside the consistently electrifying DeyemiOkanlawon. And this is just the beginning. With additional guests to be announced as each season unfolds, Unscripted is poised to become a cultural touchstone in Nigerian television, where insiders speak candidly, unfiltered and yes, unscripted.
The show was co-written by Mariam Odera, with Nimi Adekanmbi serving as series producer and Nkeoma Umudu as associate producer, bringing together a team of vibrant creatives passionate about reshaping the storytelling landscape.
For Todimu Adegoke, who also helmed the project as director, Unscripted was a chance to blend narrative structure with raw conversation, capturing both the polish and the pulse of an industry in motion.
“Unscripted is not just a show,” he says. “It’s a mirror, held up to the people, the process and the passion behind every frame we see on screen.”
In a time when African cinema is rising in global relevance and also saturated with gloss, Unscripted dares to be real, while emerging as a timely, honest and culturally resonant show. As Nollywood continues to break new ground, this series ensures that its heartbeat, its creators, its challenges and its victories can be seen, heard and understood like never before.
