Korean artiste Song Min Uk, who goes by the stage name Para, has teamed up with a Nigerian talent, Bima, to drop their Afrobeat debut single, GOGOGO.

Para, who is known for blending K-pop with Afrobeat, is a rising star in the Korean music scene — a multitalented artist, award-winning performer, and electrifying dancer who’s redefining Afrobeat with his fresh, genre-blending sound that is making global waves.

Afrobeat, Nigeria’s globally celebrated genre rooted in highlife, jazz, and indigenous percussion, is finding enthusiastic listeners thousands of miles away in South Korea. Simultaneously, South Korea’s K-pop movement, part of the broader Hallyu Wave, is already well embraced by many Nigerian youths who sing along, dance, and connect with Korean content online.

This mutual interest is being creatively expressed through a groundbreaking collaboration between Korean artist Para (Song Min Uk) and Nigerian singer Bima. Their new track, titled GOGOGO, blends the signature bounce of Afrobeat with the melodic charm of K-pop, symbolizing more than just a song — it’s a cultural bridge.

Para, a South Korean artist known for immersing himself in African rhythms and Nigerian cultural contexts, is not simply borrowing a sound — he’s embracing a way of life.

His music seeks to create authentic dialogue between cultures. Bima, on the other hand, is an Abuja-based artist whose music explores themes of identity, resilience, and hope. Together, they are working on an EP titled ‘Abuja to Seoul’, a symbolic journey of fusion, collaboration, and storytelling.

To preview the collaboration, a music hangout was planned in Abuja, bringing fans, creatives, and cultural diplomats together.
