Transparency Africa recognises Oak Holdings CEO for integrity in leadership

Transparency Africa has presented its Award for Transparency and Integrity in Leadership to Mr. Olukayode Olusanya, Chief Executive Officer of Oak Holdings. The award ceremony was held in Lagos on Wednesday.

The organisation said the honour followed a review process carried out to assess leadership standards and ethical practices. “After careful consideration and cursory investigations on our part, which is all a matter of due diligence on our part, we are pleased to honour you in acknowledgement of your transparent achievement of excellence and integrity in your leadership approach,” Transparency Africa said in its citation.

Accepting the award, Mr. Olusanya stated: “This recognition is deeply humbling. It affirms our belief that business should be built on integrity, service, and long-term impact. At Oak Holdings, we are committed to not just building wealth, but doing so in a way that is responsible, transparent, and transformative for all stakeholders.”

A representative of Transparency Africa emphasised the importance of such recognition in the current climate. “In an era where public trust in institutions is fragile, leaders like Mr. Olusanya stand out. His track record with Oak Holdings demonstrates that transparency is not only a moral imperative—it is also a competitive advantage,” the official said.

Oak Holdings, an investment and real estate development group, operates subsidiaries including The Oak Capital and Oak Homes. The company’s work in finance and property development has been identified by Transparency Africa as aligned with its values of accountability and ethical corporate governance.

The award highlights Transparency Africa’s broader initiative to encourage leadership models that reinforce public confidence in both private and public institutions across the continent.
