CP concludes state-wide advocacy for peaceful guber poll
President Bola Tinubu has reinforced the readiness of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to clinch the Anambra State governorship seat on Saturday, saying the party was prepared to end the reign of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state with the election.
He told a teeming crowd during a mega rally at the All Saints Anglican Cathedral field that the party remains united, resolute and united in its spirited efforts to deliver its candidate in the election.
Meanwhile, the Anambra Police Commissioner, Ikioye Orutugu, has concluded a state-wide engagement tour ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, with a charge on security officials to remain resolute to their rules of engagement
The APC governorship campaign rally was in support of its governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his deputy, Uche Ekwunife. Tinubu, who was represented by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, said: “November 8, 2025, is a day of peace and special blessings for Anambra State Governorship. You will go out there and vote, and you will be victorious.
“The message I am bringing you from the centre is that you will not walk alone. You will live to remember. You will not be disgraced. You are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Peace be with you.”
AT a meeting held at the Area Command Headquarters, Awka, which marked the final phase of the Command’s strategic sensitisation and capacity-strengthening engagements, the CP stated that the command was ready for the election.
Orutugu disclosed that the meeting was designed to prepare personnel for professional and effective election security operations.
He commended the officers for their dedication and discipline throughout the advocacy campaign, which had also covered all area commands and divisions in the state.
