Firm deepens road safety drive with ‘Car Lovers Connect’ initiative

Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc has reinforced its commitment to road safety and community engagement through its ‘Car Lovers Connect’ initiative.
The event, held in Abuja yesterday in partnership with K-Cool Automobile Garage and Academy, followed the success of the Lagos edition earlier in the year. It brought together car enthusiasts, drivers, and families for a day of education, connection, and awareness on safe driving and vehicle maintenance.

Through the initiative, Veritas Kapital continues to demonstrate its role as a socially responsible insurer by promoting a safety-first culture and supporting accident prevention efforts across the country.

Speaking at the Abuja edition, Regional Head (North) of Veritas Kapital, Abayomi Ayibosi, said the programme reflects the company’s mission to make meaningful contributions to society beyond providing insurance coverage.

“Car Lovers Connect is about connection, education, and protection,” Ayibosi said. “As a responsible insurer, we are not just offering policies; we are helping people understand how to maintain their vehicles properly, avoid preventable breakdowns, and stay safe on the road. That is the true essence of what Veritas Kapital stands for.”

The event featured free vehicle diagnostics, expert consultations, and interactive sessions with automobile professionals from K-Cool Garage. Led by Engineer Oluwakayode Increase Osorun, the K-Cool team provided participants with practical lessons on car care; from using appropriate engine oils and transmission fluids to understanding tyre maintenance and detecting early signs of mechanical faults.

“Most car owners ignore small details that can make a huge difference,” Osorun explained. “By equipping them with the right knowledge, we’re helping to prevent costly repairs and promote safer journeys.”

Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Veritas Kapital, Mr Arinze Adigwe, said the initiative aligns with the company’s broader CSR philosophy, which focuses on using knowledge to empower and protect communities.

“Our goal is simple: to be present where it matters most,” Adigwe said. “When you empower people with knowledge, you protect their lives, their assets, and their peace of mind. This initiative isn’t about selling insurance; it’s about enabling safer living.”

Adigwe added that, following the success of the Abuja edition, Veritas Kapital plans to expand Car Lovers Connect to other regions as part of its nationwide effort to build awareness and trust through social impact.

By merging education with community engagement, Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc continues to position itself as a forward-looking insurer that champions innovation, empathy, and empowerment, proving that insurance is not just about claims but about protecting lives, dreams, and the future.
