Total education has been advocated to prepare children for the future.
Director of Schools, Chrisland Schools, Mrs Ayoola Akinyeye, who made the advocacy at the institution’s Variety Night and Joint Christmas Concert with the theme, “The Gift of Love” in Lagos, noted that the period is a season of love, regardless of religious background, stating: “ It’s a season that calls us to love one another, be kind to one another, and show different ways that we can show to express that love or kindness.
“Love is one of our core values at Chrisland Schools. So, we teach children to show love and be kind. Kindness is a very, very strong expression of love. “Chrisland Schools has a group of 16 schools, running on 16 campuses. So, in this show this evening, we have 12 of those campuses. All our 12 Lagos schools are present, including two schools from Festac, three from VGC, from Lekki, one from Idimu and two from Ikeja, making 12 schools that are here this evening, while the other four schools are also having a similar programme in Abuja.”
Also speaking, a member of the advisory board, Mrs Kehinde Aluko, explained that the children have come together to enjoy themselves, exhibit skills and talents they have acquired over the years, and to entertain their parents, guests among others.
