Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state has for the umpteenth time declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a home, noting that it would harness partnership with the Federal Government.
The governor spoke during a grand reception held yesterday in his honour at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola.
“We have not joined the APC but aligned because this is our home where we belong.
“We have come with capacity, with number to support Mr President to win the election. Victory is for APC, we have come to bring a landslide victory,” he said.
The governor assured the ruling party of strong support in returning Tinubu to Aso Rock.
In his remarks, Vice President Kashim Shetima described the governor as a performer.
“On behalf of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I say a warm welcome to the party. It is not only about your arrival, but a party that has the people at heart.
“From this moment, I want to emphatically say Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State,” he said.
APC’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, said it is an honour to receive the governor.
He relished his administration and infrastructural development.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, represented by his deputy, Barau Jibril, commended the governor for joining the APC, which he said would enhance development and partnership with the Federal Government across all sectors.
