Bauchi APC bigwigs vow 1 million votes after endorsing Tinubu for 2027

President Bola Tinubu

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu as their consensus candidate for the 2027 presidential election, pledging to deliver one million votes for his re-election.

The endorsement was made during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held in Bauchi on Tuesday, aimed at strengthening party cohesion and positioning the APC for electoral success in the state.
The meeting was led by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, and attended by key party figures, including Senator Shehu Buba, former governors Isa Yuguda and Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, as well as former NNPC official Bala Wunti, among others.

According to the stakeholders, the gathering also focused on charting a pathway for the selection of a credible governorship candidate for Bauchi State under the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking at the meeting, Pate moved the motion for Tinubu’s endorsement, which was seconded by former governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar and unanimously adopted by participants.

Pate said the President deserved a second term, citing what he described as his contributions to Bauchi State, including employment opportunities for over 2,000 youths and interventions in critical sectors such as security, healthcare, agriculture, and education.
He assured that the APC stakeholders—including aspirants, former governors, lawmakers, and grassroots leaders—are united and committed to securing Tinubu’s victory in 2027.

He added that the meeting also congratulated newly elected party officials at various levels and commended Bauchi residents for their peaceful participation in the party’s national convention.
Also speaking, former governor Isa Yuguda described Tinubu’s efforts at national development as significant, expressing confidence that his re-election would further advance the country’s progress.

Yuguda, who chairs the Renewed Hope Initiative for the North-East, urged party members and residents to remain united and support the APC across all levels.
The meeting was attended by several governorship aspirants and political figures, including Bala Wunti, Senator Shehu Buba, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar.

Representing the Bala Wunti Movement, Adamu Fanta called for renewed unity within the party, reaffirming the group’s commitment to the stability, growth, and success of the APC.
Fanta said Wunti, alongside the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO), played a key role in facilitating the meeting as part of efforts to promote dialogue and cohesion within the party.

He added that the movement would continue to mobilise grassroots support to ensure Tinubu’s re-election and the APC’s overall victory in Bauchi State.
The meeting concluded with a call for sustained unity, cooperation, and mutual support among party members, in line with the political values of the state.
