Fast-rising grassroots side, Klassisch Football Academy, delivered a statement performance across two key fixtures, recording victories in both the Lagos FA Cup and the Jagaban Cup to underline their growing status in Nigeria’s youth football scene.

The day began on a strong note for Klassisch FA, who secured a hard-fought 1–0 win over SGH Athletics in the semi-final of the Jagaban Cup. In a tightly contested encounter, the team showed tactical discipline and defensive solidity, holding firm to protect their narrow lead and book a place in the final in what is their debut appearance in the competition.

Buoyed by that result, Klassisch FA carried their momentum into the Lagos FA Cup rookie round clash against Fire Crackers FC, where they produced a commanding 3–1 victory.

After a cagey first half, Klassisch FA came alive after the break, taking control of proceedings with a clinical attacking display. Dike Emmanuel broke the deadlock to hand his side the advantage, before Achibong doubled the lead with a composed finish.

Fire Crackers FC attempted to mount a response, but Klassisch FA maintained their composure, with Mmenie Abasi-Ita Etok sealing the victory with a third goal to ensure safe passage into the next round.

Speaking after the matches, the team’s coach praised his players’ focus and consistency across both fixtures.

“I am proud of the players for their discipline and mentality today. Playing two important matches and getting positive results in both shows the character and progress of this team,” he said.
