Muoka, Okupevi urge Nigerians to promote peace, love, imbibe Christ’s sacrifice

General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Worldwide, Pastor Lazarus Muoka

The General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Worldwide, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has predicted that the country’s prevailing situation will be over if Nigerians wholeheartedly accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

He stated this as the church prepares to hold a two-day special programme to mark Easter celebrations between April 4 and 5, 2026, at its Revival Ground along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos, from 8:00 a.m. daily.

Muoka, therefore, urged Nigerian Christians to use this year’s Easter celebrations to promote peace and love in the country, saying that this is the only way to really acknowledge and appreciate Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for humanity.

In a statement, titled: ‘God’s Covenant of Peace and Blessing’, by the Church’s Director, Public Relations, Pastor Louis Chidi, the General Overseer noted that the country needed peace and the time for that peace is now.

ALSO, the Bishop of Lagos, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Ifedola Senasu Gabriel Okupevi, has called on Nigerians and the leaders to emulate the sacrificial love demonstrated by Jesus Christ, urging them to reflect the virtues of humility, service and compassion in their relationships with fellow citizens.

Okupevi, who gave the charge to commemorate the Easter celebrations, said the Cross remains the highest model of leadership and service.

He noted that true leadership is rooted in love, humility and selflessness rather than the pursuit of personal gains.

According to him, Nigeria urgently needs leaders who are willing to sacrifice for the common good and pursue justice, accountability and compassion in governance.

The bishop noted that the message of Good Friday remains relevant in the face of the economic and social challenges confronting the nation, including rising cost of living, unemployment, insecurity and growing uncertainty about the future.
