Citihoms Finance has partnered with the Enugu State Government to strengthen institutional capacity and promote improved fiscal management within the state’s civil service.
This was disclosed at a three-day capacity-building workshop tagged “Fiscal Stewardship, Strategic Oversight, and Institutional Integrity in the Era of Disruptive Innovation,” organised for Directors and Deputy Directors in the Enugu State Civil Service under the Office of the Head of Service.
The training was designed to deepen participants’ understanding of fiscal responsibility, strategic leadership, and effective policy implementation required to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving governance environment.
It also focused on enhancing budgeting processes, efficient allocation of public resources, governance reforms, performance monitoring, value optimisation, and ethical leadership aimed at strengthening accountability and institutional excellence across the public service.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on behalf of Governor Peter Mbah, Deputy Governor Ifeanyi Ossai underscored the importance of continuous learning and adaptability within the civil service, noting that public institutions must evolve to deliver efficient and people-centred governance.
He commended the collaboration with Citihoms Finance, describing strategic partnerships as critical to advancing the state’s reform agenda.
In his remarks, the Head of Service, Dr. Godwin Anigbo, described the workshop as a strategic intervention aligned with the state government’s vision of building a professional, disciplined, and result-oriented civil service.
He said strengthening fiscal discipline and institutional accountability remains essential for sustainable development and effective service delivery.
