Transcorp Hilton denies cancelling political rally booking

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has denied claims circulating on social media that it cancelled a booking for a political rally, describing the reports as false and misleading.

In a statement yesterday, the hotel said no such cancellation occurred, clarifying that while an inquiry was made on Easter Monday, there was no availability to accommodate the request.

It added that no booking was made at any point, contrary to claims being widely shared online.

“The narrative currently being circulated is inaccurate, malicious, and entirely fabricated,” the management said, urging the public to disregard the information.

The statement, signed by the Acting General Manager, Mohamed Khalil, reaffirmed that the hotel did not cancel any reservation related to a political event.

Earlier, media reports had suggested that Transcorp Hilton Abuja, on Wednesday, April 8, withdrew as host venue for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) national convention scheduled for April 14.
