The South West Mega Exhibition and Sales Forum on Solar Energy Products, organised by Foresight Corporate Consul, will hold on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Prof. Dahud Kehinde Shangodoyin, will be the Special Guest of Honour.

He is expected to outline government efforts aimed at ensuring improved and uninterrupted electricity supply for industrial and domestic users across the state.

Head Consultant of the firm, Ayodeji Michael Oshodi, said the forum would also spotlight the roles of corporate organisations, professional bodies and households in adopting solar energy solutions to complement conventional power sources.

He added that discussions would focus on Federal Government initiatives in renewable energy and how residents of Oyo State can maximise emerging opportunities in the sector.

According to the organisers, the exhibition will provide a platform for stakeholders to access a wide range of solar products, including panels, inverters, batteries and other components critical to alternative energy deployment.

They noted that improved access to such products would enhance productivity and support economic growth, given the importance of stable electricity to industrial and commercial activities.

The organisers further disclosed that participating companies have pledged price concessions for attendees, including professionals, traders, shop owners and households, to encourage wider adoption of solar solutions.

They emphasised that increased use of solar energy, particularly in the industrial sector, would boost productivity and overall economic performance in the state.

They also stressed that consistent power supply remains vital for sectors requiring uninterrupted electricity, such as broadcasting, healthcare and education.

Participating firms are expected to include importers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers of solar energy products.
