The campaign organisation of Lagos governorship aspirant, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as JANDOR, has constituted a 2,690-member committee to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and coordination ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship direct primaries in the state.

The development was announced in a statement on Monday issued by the spokesperson of the Jagaban-JANDOR 2027 Campaign Organisation, Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye.

According to the statement, the committee was structured to align with the political framework of Lagos State, with members drawn from the 245 political wards, the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs), and the state level.

It explained that each of the 245 wards would have 10 representatives, while each of the 20 LGAs would also have 10 representatives. An additional 40 members were selected at the state level.

The campaign said each 10-member unit at both ward and local government levels comprises designated agents of the aspirant, media and communications personnel, security coordinators, grassroots mobilisers and canvassers.

It added that the structure was designed to ensure operational efficiency, message consistency and effective voter engagement across all levels of the party.

The committee has been mandated to coordinate ward-level mobilisation and stakeholder engagement, drive voter education and participation in the direct primary process, ensure compliance with party guidelines and electoral protocols, and serve as a communication link between the campaign and grassroots party members.

The campaign organisation said the move reflects JANDOR’s commitment to a participatory, transparent and inclusive political process in line with the principles of internal democracy within the APC.

It expressed confidence that the expansive grassroots structure would boost party cohesion and strengthen the aspirant’s chances of a successful outing in the forthcoming primaries.
