Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has recorded a strong performance in the 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC), with 13 of the 14 undergraduate programmes presented receiving full accreditation.

The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, announced the result in a statement made available to the university community, describing the outcome as another major milestone for the institution.

According to the statement, only one programme received interim accreditation, while the remaining 13 secured full accreditation.

Odusanya praised members of staff and students for their efforts, saying the achievement reflected the university’s commitment to academic quality and excellence.

The programmes assessed during the exercise came from four colleges within the institution. The College of Basic Sciences and Industrial Mathematics received full accreditation.

The College of Applied Social Sciences, Insurance and Tourism and Hospitality Management both secured full accreditation.

The College of Environmental Design and Technology also posted strong results, with Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, and Urban and Regional Planning all granted full accreditation.

The College of Engineering and Technology had the most programmes presented. Food Science and Bio-Technology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering all received full accreditation.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering was granted interim accreditation. Beyond the NUC exercise, the university also announced that it secured full accreditation for its Architecture programme from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria.

The management said the combined results further strengthened LASUSTECH’s standing as one of the fastest-rising specialised institutions in the country.
