Dr.Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) has purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.

According to JANDOR campaign team on Wednesday, the development confirms his entry into the race for the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The campaign team also noted that the development reflects his participation in the party’s internal processes and his support for its established nomination procedures, including the use of direct primaries for elective offices.

Adediran, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye reaffirmed his alignment with the APC’s position on internal democracy, noting that the process would deepen participation among members and strengthen party cohesion.

He also expressed appreciation for the leadership of the party at both national and state levels, while reiterating his respect for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party leaders whose guidance, he said, continues to shape the progressive direction of the APC.

The aspirant acknowledged support from party stakeholders and groups that have endorsed his ambition, while also recognising the right of other aspirants and their supporters to pursue their political interests within the party.

According to him, internal competition within a political party remains a normal feature of democracy and should be conducted in a manner that promotes unity and mutual respect.

The statement also expressed gratitude to members of the JAGABAN–JANDOR 2027 Movement, youth coalitions, and other supporters who contributed towards the purchase of the nomination forms.

Adediran said their support demonstrated commitment, sacrifice and confidence in his capacity to contribute to the development of Lagos State.

He assured party members and residents of Lagos that his ambition is anchored on unity, inclusiveness and the continuity of governance reforms under the APC platform.
