Okun Group commends Tinubu on Enikanolaiye’s ministerial nomination

The Okun Development Association (ODA) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
 
The group described the nomination as a reflection of meritocracy and a demonstration of confidence in the competence of Okun professionals to serve at the highest levels of government.
   
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Dayo Thomas, the association said the appointment reaffirms Kogi West as a hub of exceptional competence and experienced individuals committed to national development.
 
Also, the President-General of ODA, Ambassador Akenson Rotimi, extolled Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat whose career spanning over four decades reflects discipline, intellectual rigour, and dedication to public service.
 
Rotimi noted that the nominee has maintained a strong record in Nigeria’s foreign relations, serving as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representing the country in key diplomatic missions, including Addis Ababa, Belgrade, Ottawa, London, and New Delhi.
 
He also highlighted Enikanolaiye’s role as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations, where he contributed significantly to policy formulation and governance.
 
The association expressed confidence that the nomination aligns with efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s foreign policy framework and enhance its global engagements.
  
ODA added that Enikanolaiye’s experience and institutional knowledge would support Nigeria’s diplomatic objectives, promote regional stability, and protect the interests of Nigerians at home and abroad.
