On 16th memoriam, Jonathan, Tambuwal, Saraki eulogise Yar’Adua

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has honoured the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua on the 16th anniversary of his death, describing him as a selfless leader whose legacy of integrity, justice and service continues to inspire Nigerians.

In a tribute posted yesterday on social media and titled “Legacy of the Servant Leader: H.E. Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, 16 Years On,” Jonathan reflected on his relationship with the late leader and their shared vision for the country.

He said they were united by a commitment to justice and national unity during their time in office.

Jonathan asserted that their partnership was built around the goal of creating “an inclusive, united, and just nation.”

He further praised Yar’Adua’s leadership style, describing him as a humble and principled statesman who placed national interest above politics.

ALSO, former governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has described late Yar’Adua as a leader who was guided by principle, and not noise or theatrics.

In his homage yesterday, Tambuwal said: “For Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua is not just a memory, he is a defining chapter.”

EQUALLY, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, yesterday, paid tribute to the late leader, saying Nigerians still remember him with love and nostalgia 16 years after his death.

In a statement marking the anniversary of Yar’Adua’s passing, Saraki described the late president as a patriot whose legacy of humility, integrity and service continues to resonate across the country.
