In a deliberate effort to sensitize farmers on agricultural best practices, Zuma Agric Radio has officially flagged off the 2026 planting season at the Zuma FM Premises, Suleja Niger state.

The flag off brought together farmers, agricultural stakeholders, community leaders, and development partners for a farmer day engagement, practical training, and input support.

The event featured farmer sensitization sessions, agricultural extension guidance, distribution of farm inputs, and interactive discussions focused on improving productivity and strengthening food security at the grassroots level.

Speaking during the event, Shuaibu Kere Ahmed, Founder of Zuma Agric Radio and Convener of the Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival, said the initiative reflects the platform’s continued commitment to supporting farmers beyond advocacy.

“Agriculture remains central to community development and food security. Through Zuma Agric Radio, we are creating a practical platform that supports farmers with information, engagement, and access to essential agricultural support.”

He noted that the planting season flag-off marks the beginning of a broader agricultural campaign leading to the historic 10th consecutive Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival later in the year.

Participants at the event commended the initiative for focusing on practical farmer needs and creating an inclusive platform that connects rural communities with agricultural knowledge and opportunities.
