Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 remains a major priority for the state government, describing the president’s second-term ambition as a “personal project” for Kogi State.
Ododo made the remark while reacting to Tinubu’s victory at the All Progressives Congress presidential primary ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to the governor, “President Bola Tinubu’s re-election is a personal project for Kogi State,” stressing that the state would mobilise massive support for the president when campaigns begin.
He praised Tinubu’s leadership style and ongoing reforms, noting that the administration had continued to implement policies aimed at stabilising the economy, improving infrastructure, and strengthening governance despite prevailing economic challenges.
The governor said members of the APC in Kogi remained united behind the president and were committed to ensuring victory for the ruling party in the next presidential election.
Ododo also described the outcome of the APC primary as a reflection of the confidence party members still have in Tinubu’s leadership and direction for the country.
He further called on party supporters and political stakeholders to remain committed to the APC, insisting that continuity in leadership would help sustain ongoing reforms and development programmes across the country.
The governor reaffirmed Kogi State’s loyalty to the ruling party and pledged continued support for the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 polls.
