Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Lagos Region 1, has taken evangelism to the streets of Lekki, with free food distribution to vulnerable residents.
The outreach, under the church’s global evangelism programme, saw members move through Lekki Roundabout, Jakande and other major streets and neighbourhoods in the Lekki axis, sharing tracts, praying with individuals and families, and distributing over 500 packs of rice free of charge.
The exercise formed part of the church’s ongoing commitment to soul-winning and demonstrating God’s love through practical acts of kindness.
Senior/Mega Regional Overseer for Lekki Mega Axis, Pastor Moses Adebowale, said the church took the message beyond its four walls.
“We stepped out in faith to share the love, hope, and salvation found in Christ with others on the streets in the neighbourhood,” he said.
Adebowale said that the General Overseer, Dr Daniel Olukoya, and his wife, Folashade Olukoya, had directed all MFM churches worldwide to embark on massive soul-winning as instructed by Christ.
“The gospel is about transforming lives spiritually and touching lives physically. Evangelism is our divine assignment. We are here to share God’s love through His Word and through acts of compassion,” he said.
On his part, Pastor Olufemi Odelabi (Assembly Pastor MFM Lagos Region 1, lgbo Efon Lekki, Lagos), stressed that the church’s goal is to depopulate the kingdom of darkness while winning souls to Christ.
He noted that MFM constantly embarks on evangelical outreaches and deliverance programmes that have transformed lives.
On her part, Lekki District Evangelism leader, Patience Udeme, stated that MFM evangelism department operates through numerous specialised units that target different segments of the society with the word of God and different humanitarian outreaches, such as hospital evangelism, prison and cell evangelism, market outreach, rural missions, transport and motor-park evangelism, school evangelism, house-to-house witnessing, visitation programmes and mass crusades.
She said that the ministry also conducts “church-in-the-street” activities, and trade fair outreach programmes.
Udeme added that various evangelism outreaches carried out by the church have led to positive transformations and provided important tools for addressing crime, hopelessness, and social instability.
