Kids FM 101.7 is committed to strengthening family bonds and promoting child development through education, creativity, and entertainment at the Kids FM Festival 3.0 in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the Programme Manager of Kids FM, Yvonne Okhaifoh, said the initiative was designed to create a platform where families can reconnect. At the same time, children learn, play and discover their talents in a safe and engaging environment.

According to her, the station remains dedicated to building experiences that foster family unity while nurturing confidence, creativity and positive values in children.

Okhaifoh noted that in an era where many families struggle to spend quality time together, initiatives like the Kids FM Festival provide meaningful opportunities for parents and children to bond through shared activities and experiences.

The event, held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, attracted over 3,000 children and family members, and brought together educators, entertainers, media personalities and corporate partners for a day of learning, recreation and family engagement.

She explained that the festival reflects the station’s broader mission of raising confident, responsible and creative children through family-centred programming and educational entertainment.

A key highlight of the event was the Pepsodent Kids Moment, where children and parents were educated on oral hygiene through interactive demonstrations, music and dance sessions.

Popular radio personalities, including Lady Sunshine, Uncle Gang, Mummy B, Dara, Ayo D Navigator, Captain Lionel, Princess Feta, Singing Alfee and Small Chops entertained and educated participants through engaging sessions that blended fun with learning.

Stakeholders at the festival emphasised the importance of family-centred programmes in raising emotionally balanced, socially responsible and confident children.

Parents also participated in family-oriented activities designed to encourage communication, bonding and shared experiences with their children.

For many attendees, the Kids FM Festival served as a reminder of the importance of intentional parenting, quality family time and creating lasting memories that support children’s overall well-being.

The festival also featured a special guest performance by singer Iyanya, who thrilled the audience with energetic performances, creating memorable moments as families sang and danced together.

Children enjoyed various activity zones, including PlayStation gaming, bouncing castles, trampolines, arts and painting corners, football, basketball, karaoke and other recreational activities aimed at promoting creativity, teamwork and self-expression.

Families were also provided with educational materials, books, colouring items and souvenirs, while food and refreshments were served in picnic-style relaxation areas that encouraged social interaction and togetherness.

Okhaifoh lauded sponsors and partners for supporting the initiative, noting that their contributions were vital to the success of the festival.

The event concluded with prize presentations, giveaways, sponsor recognition and closing remarks by Principal Vonne.
