The Blue Lagoon is a vibrant, tropical-inspired cocktail known for its distinct bright blue colour and refreshing citrus taste. It is simple to prepare and makes for a visually appealing drink.
Ingredients
- 50 ml Vodka
- 25 ml Blue Curaçao liqueur
- 25 ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice (or lemonade for a sweeter version)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slice or maraschino cherry (for garnish)
- Soda water or lemonade (to top up, optional)
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass (such as a highball glass) with ice cubes to cool it down.
- In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, blue curaçao, and lemon juice.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
- Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- If you prefer a longer, lighter drink, top it up with a splash of soda water or lemonade.
- Add a slice of lemon or a maraschino cherry to the rim of the glass and serve immediately.
