The Acting Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Malam Mummuni Masamar Mudi, has led a state government delegation on a condolence visit to Goran Namaye in Maradun Local Government Area following a terrorist attack that claimed 21 lives and left 17 others injured.
During the visit, the Acting Governor conveyed the condolences of the Zamfara State Government to the bereaved families and the entire community over the tragic incident.
He expressed the government’s deep sorrow and prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the souls of the deceased and grant their families the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
As part of efforts to support those affected, the state government donated ₦500,000 and two bags of grain to each family of the deceased. Each of the injured victims also received ₦200,000 and one bag of grain to help ease their hardship.
Mudi assured residents that the Zamfara State Government would continue to take all necessary measures to strengthen security and protect lives and property across the state.
Also speaking during the visit, the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities or planned attacks to security agencies to enable swift intervention.
In his response, the District Head of Goran Namaye, Alhaji Muhammadu Musa, expressed appreciation to the state government for the condolence visit and the relief assistance provided to the victims’ families.
He also appealed to the government and security agencies to sustain efforts aimed at tackling the security challenges confronting rural communities across the state
