Flybird RPAS, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems division of Flybird Group, is set to showcase its advanced drone technologies and unveil plans to expand into offshore aviation services at the 25th edition of NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition.

The event, scheduled for July 5 to 9, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, marks a major milestone in the company’s strategic growth across the aviation and energy sectors.

As the energy industry increasingly embraces unmanned aviation technologies to boost safety, efficiency and asset integrity, Flybird RPAS says it is positioning itself as a key provider of intelligent aerial solutions for oil and gas, infrastructure, utilities, mining and maritime operations.

At the exhibition, visitors to the Flybird RPAS stand will experience drone applications designed to improve inspections, lower operational costs, reduce human exposure to high-risk environments and provide real-time aerial intelligence for faster and better decision-making.

Beyond drone operations, the company will also engage industry stakeholders on its planned entry into offshore helicopter services, aimed at supporting personnel transportation, logistics, emergency response, aerial surveillance and specialised aviation needs for offshore energy operators across West Africa.

The move, according to the company, complements Flybird Group’s growing portfolio spanning aircraft management, business aviation, RPAS operations, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and aviation advisory services.

Chief Executive Officer of Flybird RPAS, Chanel Scott, said drone technology has become indispensable for organisations seeking safer, smarter and more cost-effective operations.

She said NOG Energy Week offers the company a strategic platform to demonstrate its capabilities, build partnerships and prove that indigenous firms can deliver world-class aviation technology solutions that meet global standards.

Group Head of Corporate Services, Dr Tracy Wilson, said the event presents an opportunity to deepen stakeholder engagement, showcase the company’s expanding integrated aviation portfolio and foster partnerships that will shape Africa’s energy future.

Also speaking, Group Managing Director of Flybird Group, Captain Ahmed Borodo, said the company is building a fully integrated aviation ecosystem to support the energy value chain.

According to him, Flybird’s offerings across aircraft management, business aviation, RPAS, offshore helicopter services, MRO and aviation advisory are designed to provide innovative, reliable and safe aviation solutions under one trusted brand.

He added that the company’s participation at NOG Energy Week underscores its commitment to supporting Africa’s energy sector through strategic investments, local capacity development and operational excellence.
