Former Oyo State First Lady, Florence Ajimobi, has arrived in Vienna, Austria, to officially assume her role as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to International Organisations based in the Austrian capital.

Mrs. Ajimobi, widow of the late former Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, was recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as part of a new batch of diplomatic envoys tasked with advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives.

Her posting to Vienna places her at the forefront of Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement with Austria, while also representing the country at several key international organisations headquartered in the city, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
