Confessing to the crime, Osazee said: “I am a clinic doctor and the manager of one hospital, Grace Health Nursery Maternity. Normally, the woman that owns the hospital is a licensed woman. So, she still employs people, qualified and unqualified. So, that very day, one Mr. Godwin brought a lady and called me that the lady wanted to deliver. Although that day I was not even fine, I got there and I told them I cannot take the delivery because I am not fine.
He continued: “So, I called one colleague to come and assist them in that facility. According to her, the girl said okay and she went to go and deliver the girl the next day. When the baby was delivered, the nurse that delivered the baby said the baby is premature and we should take the baby to incubator, but the baby died.
“I was trained in 2003 as an auxiliary nurse and I have been working with different hospitals as a health assistant.”
