The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has concluded his statewide thank-you tour with visits to the Saki and Iseyin zones, where he reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance and urged party members to remain united ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Adekanmbi, accompanied by his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, visited Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas, as well as Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa councils, where they met with party leaders, stakeholders and supporters.
The tour, which covered the state’s geopolitical zones, was organised to appreciate party members for their support during the APM governorship primary and to galvanise the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing members at the various meetings, Adekanmbi thanked party faithful for the confidence reposed in him, describing his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate as a collective victory for APM members across Oyo State.
He pledged to provide transparent, accountable and people-centred leadership if elected, stressing that his administration would operate an open-door policy that accommodates diverse interests and encourages broad participation in governance.
According to him, inclusive governance remains central to his vision for the state, noting that every member of the party would have a role to play in building a stronger and more prosperous Oyo.
The APM flag bearer also commended party leaders, coordinators and grassroots mobilisers for their commitment and sacrifices, describing them as the driving force behind the party’s growing acceptance across the state.
He urged members to remain united, disciplined and focused, saying sustained engagement with the electorate would be critical to the party’s success in the 2027 governorship election.
“Our collective strength lies in our unity. Together, we can build a stronger party capable of providing quality leadership and meaningful development for the people of Oyo State,” he said.
Adekanmbi assured supporters that his administration, if elected, would prioritise community development, economic empowerment and policies aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the state.
