Index Thermal Power Ltd has invited qualified engineering firms, infrastructure developers and institutional investors to partner in the development and financing of its proposed 1,800-megawatt gas-fired Independent Power Plant (IPP) in Rivers State.

The company said the proposed project will be located within the Onne Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone in Port Harcourt and forms part of efforts to strengthen electricity generation capacity and support industrial development in Nigeria.

According to the company, it is seeking expressions of interest from local and international organisations with proven technical expertise and financial capacity to participate in the engineering, development and financing of the project.

Index Thermal Power stated that it welcomes collaboration with experienced partners capable of contributing to the successful execution of a large-scale power infrastructure project.
