Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has taken delivery of the EVAC+CHAIR emergency evacuation chairs for passengers with reduced mobility.
An earlier statement by the Head, Corporate Communications, SAHCO Plc, Vanessa Uansohia, said that with the latest investment, the handling company had become the first and only aviation ground-handling company in Nigeria to deploy such specialised mobility equipment.
SAHCO said that the equipment would also enhance its ability to provide safe, dignified and efficient assistance to passengers with reduced mobility.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman, SAHCO Plc, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, said the investment indicated the company’s commitment to delivering world-class services that cater to the needs of every passenger.
According to him, air travel should be accessible, safe and comfortable for everyone, and he noted that this investment demonstrated the company’s commitment to inclusive service delivery by ensuring that passengers with reduced mobility received the highest level of care, dignity and professional assistance.

Also commenting, the Managing Director of SAHCO Plc, Adenike Aboderin, stated that the acquisition further strengthened SAHCO’s reputation as the preferred ground-handling partner for airlines operating into Nigeria.
