The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates in the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II).

According to a statement by the National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, candidates are advised to visit the official NCS website to confirm their status and obtain information regarding the next stage of the recruitment process.

The Service said successful candidates will receive instructions through their registered email addresses or SMS notifications.

“Upon receipt of the notification, candidates are required to log on to update.customs.gov.ng using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital,” the NCS stated.

The Service informed all successful candidates that the portal link for uploading medical certificates of fitness will be activated on July 29, and that candidates are required to complete the upload process within one week of the portal’s activation.

The NCS further stated that candidates are also required to update their current state of residence on the portal accurately and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.

According to the NCS, successful candidates should thereafter await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which will be communicated within one week, adding that further details regarding documentation and physical screening, including dates, venues and requirements, will be communicated through official channels. The Service advised all successful candidates to strictly comply with the outlined instructions and complete each stage within the stipulated timelines.

The NCS warned that failure to comply with any of the requirements or timelines may result in disqualification from the recruitment process and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Dr Bashir Adeniyi, however, congratulated all successful candidates on their success in the recruitment exercise, noting that he looks forward to welcoming them into the Nigeria Customs Service as they commence a career dedicated to professionalism, integrity and service to the nation.
