Nigerian comedy star Real Warri Pikin is set to make history as the first African female comedian to headline a solo show at indigo at The O2 in London when she stages In My Element on November 29, 2026.

The landmark event, produced by SMADE Entertainment Group in collaboration with Shekpe Knights Entertainment (SKE), will be the comedian’s biggest UK performance to date, following the conclusion of her recent United States tour.

Born Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha in Warri, Delta State, Real Warri Pikin has risen to prominence through sold-out live performances, viral comedy skits and deeply personal storytelling that blends humour with life experiences.

Her relationship with UK audiences dates back to 2019 when she performed at AY Live. She later returned in 2022 to headline sold-out shows in London, Manchester and Milton Keynes. The upcoming performance at indigo at The O2 marks another milestone in her international career.

Speaking on the significance of the achievement, Real Warri Pikin said, “As a Black woman, if you wait for everyone to approve your dream before you move, you’ll spend your whole life standing in the same place. Sometimes courage is not enough. You need audacity.”

She added, “This is not just for me. It’s for every Black woman who has ever been told to shrink herself, to dream smaller, or to wait her turn. I hope when they see me on that stage, they see what’s possible for themselves too.”

Founder of SMADE Entertainment Group, Dr. Adesegun Adeosun Jr., popularly known as Dr. King SMADE, described the event as another step in expanding the global reach of African entertainment.

“Real Warri Pikin represents exactly what we set out to build at SMADE. Twenty-two years ago we started as promoters. Today we are building the infrastructure that lets African talent headline the biggest stages in the world. This show is proof that African comedy belongs at that level,” he said.

He added, “Every artist we bring to a stage like indigo at The O2 opens the door a little wider for the next one. That is the work.”

Also speaking, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shekpe Knights Entertainment, Adewumi “Ben” Awoyode, said the booking was significant for African entertainment and female comedians.

“This moment represents far more than another event we’ve produced. It is a reminder of what becomes possible when talent is met with opportunity. For a Nigerian woman to dream this boldly and earn her place on one of the world’s most iconic stages, despite the limited spotlight historically given to female comedians, is both inspiring and historic,” he said.

The organisers said In My Element reflects the growing global appetite for African comedy and live entertainment, as more African creatives continue to secure performances at major international venues.The organisers said tickets for the November show will be made available ahead of the event, which is expected to draw comedy enthusiasts from across the UK and members of the African diaspora.
