ARTCATION, Nigeria’s pioneering immersive art-culinary experience, is set to return for its highly anticipated fourth edition, continuing its mission to redefine how African art, culture, and creativity are experienced. This year’s edition will feature celebrated chefs Chef Fregz, Chef Amaka, and Chef Colombs, joining an exceptional lineup of contemporary artists in what promises to be ARTCATION’s most ambitious chapter yet.

Since its debut in 2024, ARTCATION has distinguished itself as more than an art exhibition. By thoughtfully blending contemporary visual art, gastronomy, performance, and storytelling, the platform has created a new category of cultural experiences—one that invites audiences to engage with creativity through every sense.

Over the past three editions, ARTCATION has welcomed renowned artists including Joseph Abdallah, 12th, Mariam Olubunmi Aliu, Adetola Adenuga, and Chuma Anagbado, while earning the support of leading brands such as Wakanow, which partnered as the headline sponsor for its previous edition. These collaborations have helped establish ARTCATION as one of Nigeria’s most distinctive cultural platforms, bringing together artists, chefs, brands, and audiences through shared experiences rooted in African creativity.

The fourth edition builds on that momentum with a renewed commitment to creating deeper connections between art and culture. Rather than presenting artworks in isolation, ARTCATION transforms them into immersive experiences, where cuisine, design, performance, and storytelling become part of a single narrative.

“We created a niche and became our own competition. The standard.”
— Gbotemi, Founder & Curator, ARTCATION

“ARTCATION was never created to be another event on the calendar,” says Gbotemi. “Our vision has always been to build a platform that changes how people experience art. We are creating a cultural language where artists, chefs, and creatives collaborate to tell stories that are deeply African, emotionally engaging, and globally relevant. Every edition pushes us to raise the standard we have set for ourselves.”

This year’s culinary experience will be led by Chef Fregz, Chef Amaka, and Chef Colombs, each bringing a unique perspective to the intersection of food and creativity. Their work will complement exhibitions by leading contemporary artists, reinforcing ARTCATION’s belief that food can become a powerful medium for storytelling alongside visual art.

As ARTCATION enters its fourth edition, the platform continues to pursue a broader ambition: building the foundation for immersive art experiences in Nigeria and across Africa. By championing collaboration across creative disciplines, ARTCATION is creating new opportunities for artists, chefs, designers, and cultural practitioners while celebrating the richness of African heritage through contemporary experiences.

With new collaborations, expanded programming, and an unwavering commitment to innovation, the fourth edition promises to be its most immersive and memorable yet.

Further announcements, including the event date, venue, participating artists, and programme highlights, will be released in the coming weeks.
