Arewa community in Ogun State has threw its weight behind the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, pledging to mobilise its members to campaign for the party across all 20 local government areas of the state.
The Sultan Drab Shuwa of Ogun State, Alhaji Sa’eed Isa, disclosed this yesterday in company of the Southwest leader Arewa Consultative Forum and other members it’s leadership at a meeting with executive members of the PDP and its governorship candidate, Adebutu.
Isa who announced that the manipulation of Arewa community in the state have ended, urged the people to embark on full mobilization of other members across the 20 local councils to support Adebutu to win the 2027 elections.
“We have been manipulated long enough. That ends today. The Arewa community in Ogun State is ready to throw our full weight behind Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu. Across all 20 Local Governments, you will see us at every PDP campaign. We are all in.” he noted
In his response, Adebutu urged the community to remain firmly within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that the party remains its only political home.
He called on the group to end its movement from one political platform to another and instead unite under the PDP to pursue its interests collectively.
“PDP is the only natural home for your community. Stop swaying from one place to another. Let’s stay in one place and fight this cause together,” he said.
Adebutu also expressed confidence in the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 elections, assuring the community that victory would create an opportunity for stronger representation in government.
“The 2027 victory belongs to us, and I assure you, you will be well represented in government come 2027,” he added.
