As part of his vision to promote youth developments, the newly elected Chairman of the Nigerian Community Greater Manchester (NCGM), Dele Bashiru-Kaka, has promised to partner NiDcom, and other development agencies to establish operational routes where professionals in Manchester can actively channel investments, technological innovations, and human capital into critical development programmes.

Bashiru-Kaka, who took over from Abiola Kumoye also disclosed that his administration would introduce comprehensive reform agenda to drive continental advancement.

He said: “Our administration will be anchored on a united leadership rooted in quality, inclusivity, and a shared unity of purpose.”

He explained that strict constitutional governance and absolute transparency will anchor these international institutional relationships. He added that the new NCGM development blueprint would focus on four core development areas such as global partnerships aimed at executing the chairman’s core strategy plans and revitalising alignment with NiDcom, and other development agencies to implement sustainable demographic and structural projects.

Other core development areas, according to the chairman include youth/talent circulation and transforming traditional brain drain into “brain circulation” by developing educational, career, and mentorship pipelines for the next generation.

The rest are structured local welfare and upgrading the community’s internal safety nets to deliver dedicated care systems for elderly diaspora residents, as well as institutional stewardship, which aims at introducing open financial frameworks, audited performance metrics, and direct community-feedback loops to ensure organisational accountability.
