The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has fixed the fare for the 2027 Hajj at between N7,560,822 and N7,882,822, depending on the pilgrims’ departure zones.

The commission announced this in a public notice issued on Friday, saying the fares were approved by the Federal Government after consultations with the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, key service providers in Saudi Arabia, and consideration of prevailing exchange rates and service costs.

Under the approved structure, pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola Zone will pay N7,560,822, while those from the Northern Zone will pay N7,672,822.

Pilgrims from the Southern Zone will pay the highest fare of N7,882,822.
NAHCON said the approved fares were determined in line with the principles of transparency, cost-efficiency and the Federal Government’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.

The commission also directed intending pilgrims who had previously deposited N5 million to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.

It said new registrants should make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, agencies or commissions, or through any approved Hajj Savings Scheme participating bank.

NAHCON announced September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

The commission said the deadline was in compliance with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s policy.

It also fixed December 2, 2026, as the deadline for states to complete remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares.

According to NAHCON, there will be no extension of the deadlines, as data synchronisation and seat allocations depend entirely on timely remittances.

The commission warned that failure to meet the stipulated deadlines would result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
