God will surely deliver you

Psalm 50:15: “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, came to earth with a clear purpose and mandate, which is to deliver man from sin, and to restore the lost kingdom that Adam and Eve lost by disobeying God’s instruction. It should be noted that from the early days of man’s existence in this world, he was subjected to temptation and his inability to resist the devil led him to eat the forbidden fruit, thereby disobeying God’s word. That single act thwarted the plan of God and His purpose for creating man.

Man was created to serve. As God’s representative on earth and man was trained to manage God’s resources on earth and also to control earthly government. Unfortunately, man failed the test that would have fortified him for the task ahead and the devil took over control of the earth.

However, after the divine pronouncement of punishment for both the serpent, the instrument that Satan used in his deceit, and man, God promised that a Messiah will come and He will bruise the head of the serpent. Our Lord, Jesus Christ has come to deliver man from the bondage of sin. That is why He gave a directive in the lead scripture above that whosoever shall call upon Him in the day of trouble will be delivered and the beneficiary will glorify His name.

God has the capacity to deliver man from any bondage. The deliverance power of God is never in doubt because power belongs to Him; that is why Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 43:10-13: “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord,
and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11: I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. 12: I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. 13: Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?”

Yes, God is very much ready to deliver whosoever shall call upon Him for help; He has the power and all the resources to do so. No matter that the devil is controlling the earth and tormenting every man at will, but the intervention of God will always checkmate his excesses. Therefore, whosoever will enjoy the deliverance and salvation of his/her soul must call upon God with a faithful heart that is clean and pure. He/she must be ready to see God as his creator, serve Him with undivided attention and believe in the power of God to save.

God sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, into this sinful world to deliver man from the yoke of sin. He has the power to do so, and the devil cannot do otherwise, but to obey the authority of the Son of God. Jesus Christ came to take our sins away, and He demonstrated this when He died a shameful death on the Cross of Calvary. In Matthew 8:16-17, the Bible says: “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick. 17: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.”

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, took our sins upon Himself when He was crucified on the Cross of Calvary. That deliverance project perfected on the Cross is still on today. What you need is to identify with His sacrificial death and accept that sacrifice paid for the redemption of your soul. Therefore, God is calling you to repent from all known and unknown sins, embrace Jesus as the Lord and Saviour. As you do that your name will be written in the book of life in heaven and you will become a child of God; your protection and provision will become God’s priority in heaven.

We need to know that God is the creator of heaven and earth, and everything therein and He is available at all times to take care of the people, who fear and honour Him. He has the capacity to do everything as the Bible has it in Jeremiah 32:27: “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Your deliverance from sin, and the healing that you desire from Him, are minor issues when He intervenes in any case. One thing must be clear in the mind of everyone who professes Christ. That person must repent of his sins and must not go back to them again, because sin closes the door of God’s intervention in our life. The Bible is emphatic in Isaiah 59:1-3, saying: “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. 2: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.3: For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.” As you distance yourself from sin and welcome God’s presence in your life, He has promised to be with you and the devil will no longer torment you. Approach God today with a repented heart, without spot or wrinkle. Today, as you read this message make up your mind to serve God and He will surely deliver you in Jesus’ name… Amen.
