The Nollywood actor, filmmaker and producer, Rotimi Salami had continued to raise the bar with his latest: KILANKO: The Invincible Child, as the emotionally compelling drama moves to embrace international audiences in Canada and the United States.

So far, the film was said to have earned selections and nominations in different categories at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) 2026, further placing it on international platform.

 

The film is expected to screen in Toronto on September 10, at the Fairview Library Theatre in Ontario, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Audiences interested in attending are encouraged to visit Rotimi Salami’s official website for information on free tickets.

 

Afterwards, it will go to the United States, from where Americana Archivar Plus Convergence will host screenings on October 8, 2026. Organisers say details of tickets and additional U.S. screening cities will soon be announced.

The organisers say 98 minutes Genre KILANKO: THE INVINCIBLE CHILD features: Allwell Ademola, Rotimi Salami, Ibrahim Chatta, Tina Mba, Yinka Quadri, Bimbo Manuel, Jumoke Salami, Biola Adebayo, Saheed Balogun, and Bliss Salami.

 

According to the organisers, Allwell Ademola directs KILANKO: The Invincible Child that delivers a deeply emotional and socially relevant narrative exploring the realities of sickle cell disease, motherhood, and cultural beliefs surrounding the concept of an “abiku” child.
