Aiyedatiwa vows ‘massive mobilisation’ for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid

Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa

Says projects, performance will translate to votes

Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has disclosed that his administration would deploy the entire government machinery of the state to secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Aiyedatiwa stated this at the weekend while receiving the leadership of the City Boy Movement, Ondo State chapter, a pro-Tinubu political group, at the Governor’s Office in Akure.

The delegation, led by State Coordinators Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Tomide Akinribido, visited to brief the governor on the group’s activities and grassroots mobilisation strategies.

The governor, who proclaimed what he termed “Ondo For Tinubu 2027”, stated that it will position the state as a stronghold for the president’s re-election campaign.

Aiyedatiwa emphasised that his administration’s achievements in infrastructure, job creation, youth employment, and empowerment programmes would serve as the foundation for rallying support.

“Our people are seeing and feeling the impact of good governance. From road projects to health, education, and empowerment, we are building a foundation that makes it easy to sell the Renewed Hope message in Ondo State,” the governor stated.

He further harped on the direct correlation between his administration’s performance and electoral outcomes for the president, noting that every developmental initiative translates into political capital for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Aiyedatiwa highlighted the creation of 6,000 jobs, ongoing road construction projects, and political appointments as factors that would generate multiplier effects in favour of President Tinubu.

“Every action we take that impacts the people positively is a vote for the president. Every one of the 6,000 jobs we have created is a vote for the president. Every road we build attracts votes for the president. Every political appointment we make has multiplier effects that translate to more votes for the president,” Governor Aiyedatiwa explained.

The governor, who commended the City Boy Movement for its commitment to the APC’s ideals and advocacy for the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda, assured the group of his administration’s full support.

He pledged that all support groups working for Tinubu’s re-election in the state would be carried along and given necessary backing.

On his part, Ayejusunle, the leader of the delegation, thanked the governor for his leadership and for aligning the state with the president’s progressive agenda.

He detailed the group’s activities since its inception and promised to intensify grassroots sensitisation efforts to ensure victory for Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 elections.
