The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Arabinrin Aderonke as a member of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, where she will serve as Coordinating Secretary, Media/Strategic Communications III.

Her appointment was contained in the membership list of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council released by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

The council comprises party chieftains and professionals assigned to various roles within the campaign structure as the APC begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Aderonke brings experience in journalism, strategic communications, policy and public affairs to the campaign team.

She was a 2013 laureate of the Wole Soyinka Investigative Reporting Award and a finalist at the 2016 CNN African Journalist Award, recognitions that formed part of her career in journalism and investigative reporting.

She is also an author and policy adviser, with professional affiliations including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Reacting to the appointment, Aderonke described the nomination as a call to service and expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in her.

“This is a call to service, and I embrace it with humility, responsibility and a clear understanding of the task ahead,” she said.

She pledged to bring dedication and commitment to the assignment while calling for unity within the party as preparations for the election gather momentum.

Her appointment adds to the APC’s media and strategic communications structure ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.
