Dongfeng Motors of China has donated five additional pickup vehicles to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), bringing the automobile manufacturer’s total contribution to six vehicles.

The company also pledged to donate four more vehicles before the end of 2026, which will bring its total contribution to 10 vehicles.

The latest vehicles were delivered in China by Dongfeng Motors’ Commercial Manager simply identified as Mrs Tina, and received on behalf of the LSSTF by its Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan.

The vehicles are expected to be formally handed over to the LSSTF at Dongfeng Motors’ showroom in Lagos when they arrive.

The latest donation builds on an earlier contribution of one vehicle made by the company on February 6, 2026.

Speaking on the development, Ogunsan commended Dongfeng Motors for its continued support for security operations in Lagos State.

He said the donation would strengthen the mobility of security personnel, enabling them to patrol vulnerable areas more effectively and respond swiftly to security threats.

Ogunsan also pledged to promote Dongfeng Motors’ business interests in Lagos as part of efforts to deepen the partnership between the company and the state.

The LSSTF has continued to support security agencies across Lagos through the provision of operational vehicles, equipment, logistics and capacity-building initiatives.

The latest intervention is expected to further enhance the operational capacity of security personnel and improve their response to emerging security challenges across the state.
